These button-sized batteries offered by Energizer employ a lithium chemistry that is able to reliably provide a total power output of 3 volts. As they are notably small, these units can often be seen within CMOS chips (computer memory chips), watches, some scientific devices and remote controls around the home.

Each unit weighs 17 grams. A height (thickness) of 3.2 millimetres and a diameter of 20 millimetres are ideal for many hand-held devices. The self-discharge rate of these Energizer batteries is quite low. This enables each unit to be stored away for up to eight years before use with negligible loss of total capacity. Nominal operating temperatures are between -30ºC and 60ºC. These lithium button cell batteries are offered in tamper-resistant blister packs of six units.
